I love this idea. I usually ship default to start, see if the first batch of people to experience can navigate it well, then design it when it's not working.
Not sure if it's the most efficient pattern but it feels like it works well for us!
Right there with ya. Software lends itself to that kind of workflow. I feel like I’m maybe a bit more comfortable with it than the average designer because I began by working in the code and got to experience the benefits more directly.
